the Bay Area and Beyond

Cal Young Performers Festival

Student musicians from the University of California, Berkeley, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and two young ensembles visiting from Brazil perform Baroque and Renaissance chamber music. In between performances, a panel discussion featuring local early music educators Corey Jamason, David H. Miller, and Elisabeth Reed, will consider the challenges and opportunities of teaching early music performance in the twenty-first century. The event will last around 2 hours, including performances and the panel discussion.
